South Africa's future is in trouble. Once the most prosperous country in Africa, today finds itself in the grip of the very problems that most other African states experienced; rampant crime, leaders that became looters, corruption, unemployment, poverty and disease. Whatever problems that exist now will be dwarfed by a tsunami of violence under the MARXIST vision of populist ANC leader Jacob Zuma. The result is a complex political mess that will put solutions to South Africa's endemic ills even further out of reach. With unemployment now reaching 40%(double since the ANC took control) and a million whites that fled the country already the prospects for a prosperous future is fading fast. 11% of South Africans live on less than a dollar a day, once again double the number of those in poverty since the ANC took power in 1994.
On the crime front the nation now suffers from the worst of the worst crime rates in the world. The murder rate is 800% higher than that of an average country. It has more assaults, rapes and murders with firearms per capita than anywhere in the world. Over 80% South African businesses are affected by violent crime and burglary. Child protection services estimate that 30% of girls and 20% of boys in the country are sexually exploited; a child goes missing on average every six hours, never to return alive.
At the same time it is painfully clear that Jacob Zuma is no saint that represent a pure moral compass. He opens his speeches with a murder song " Bring Me My Machine Gun", He prides himself on his lack of formal education; some claim he's barely literate. A polygamist, he fathered 20 children by nine different women. He was blamed for raping a daughter of comrade- his defense "she asked for it" He claims that Umkhonto we Siswe is at his command. He makes a speech that the democratic revolution has failed, and need to be replaced by a bloody revolution on a youth day celebration and a few weeks later talk to the white farmers that he threatened to exterminate and tell them that he understands their predicament and that they need to trust him, as close as an oxymoron as you can get. With his unbelievable charisma he lies most of the time, he knows that they know that he lies but that doesn't matter to him at all. Zuma is stirring the poor and is creating expectations that can not be met unless there is unprecedented bloodshed in the country.
This man is now the leader of the ruling party and potentially the new president of South Africa.
